Marin Humane Advocacy Committee Meeting

“Getting together with my fellow volunteers for the Marin Humane Advocacy Committee is a real treat. Not only because we moved our meetings to Zoom right as I joined at the start of 2020, but because when we meet in person, I get my dog fix hanging out with Bowie. He's really the star of the show and belongs to Lisa Bloch, Marin Humane's Director of Marketing. At this last meeting, Bowie popped a squat on our laps while we discussed our latest initiative, which is pushing for Pet-Friendly Housing in Marin. Using a grant we won, we're applying the funds to develop a website and materials for landlords, restauranteurs, retail owners, and hotels to find the resources they need to become pet-friendly. Keeping families together (and that means people and their fur babies) makes for stronger communities. Because when you live in a pawerful community, everyone benefits.”
